design (iMagiTiger Tiles)*

iMaginator

A quick and easy way to achieve an “artistic” look for a photograph is to use the composting effects in iMaginator.

In order to place this tiger image (the default image in iMaginator) on tile, I started a new image in iMaginator - File>New...This gave me the tiger image.

I then downloaded the tile photo from image*after by Control clicking on the image and selecting “Add Image to IPhoto Library”.

Back in iMaginator, I selected the “Minimum” Effect. It’s one of the Compositing Effects. By default, an image of a rose is composited with the tiger. I then simply dragged the tile image from my iPhoto Library into the Minimum Effect image well, thus replacing the rose with the tile.

What more do you need? It was that easy!

There are some scaling options in the Minimum Effect you can use, but the default setting was fine. Other compositing effects could be used, such as Multiply, with slightly different to very different results.

You can download all the files needed for this project here.
